Background: To update Rheumatologists Regarding the activities of The Twice The Doctor ( TTD) Foundation in providing medical practitioners with the opportunity to "virtually volunteer" in a highly effective and efficient way in order to improve medical services in Africa.
Methods: With partners such as UNICEF, the Fred Hollows Foundation and Barbara May Foundation , TTD enables specifically directed donations to provide training for medical staff in Africa who then deliver medical services.
Results: To date, over 40 Rheumatologists have participated and over $500,000 has been raise by rheumatologists and other doctors. We hope to expand this programme.
